Private label clients are able to have their products packed in our bottles, which are manufactured exclusively for The Cape Herb & Spice Company to exacting specifications. The bottles, which have a minimalist profile, are considered very attractive and have almost become a standard worldwide against which other spice bottles are measured.
Glass bottles are formed in a high-temperature environment that renders them sterile. They are palletised and shrink wrapped in thick micron plastic that keeps them 100% clean. Before entering our factory, each bottle is carefully inspected to ensure they’re perfect.
The benefit of using glass is primarily for safety. Glass in chemically inactive and, unlike plastic, does not react when it comes into contact with the essential oils in spices. Spice packaged in plastic containers can be dangerous as the chemical reactions that result are potentially harmful to your health.
Glass can also withstand high temperatures and will therefore not melt if they are mistakenly left close to a hob or oven. Another benefit of our glass is that it is re-cycled and therefore kinder to the environment.
