Tins have traditionally been a popular packaging material for food. There are a whole lot of nostalgic connotations associated with them, evoking childhood memories of biscuits or chocolates stored in cake tins. The Cape Herb & Spice Company has taken this tradition and given it a modern twist, offering a selection of ultra-sleek tins for private label packaging.
The tins offered by The Cape Herb & Spice Company are in several different sizes, but they’re all food-safe and odour and taste free. They all have see-through lids, which show off the product inside in order to help promote sales. The lids can be embossed with your company logo to enhance brand visibility.
Tamper-proof seals, which can be printed with multiple colours, ensure the tins remain safely closed until purchased. A perforation in the tamper-proof seal makes it easy for the consumer to use the product.
Our packing facility is known for its remarkable flexibility. They’re equally comfortable packing high-volume, low-variety products or small quantities of products that need to be hand-packed to ensure specific ingredients are placed in specific ways in the tins.
A team of food technologists ensure that quality standards are upheld and conform to the client’s specifications. They will conduct tests on products to ensure they’re perfect: moisture, microbial, Sudan Red, Scoville or pesticide residues on organic products. They will also have products treated according to client specification: irradiation, ethylene oxide, steam sterilisation, carbon dioxide or methyl bromide.
